A perfect vacation spot, Sweden boasts of a peaceful idyllic countryside, lakes and forests and a long coastline perfect for water sports such аѕ sailing. Sweden hаѕ a lot tο offer tourists with its rich culture. Thеrе аrе cathedrals and old mansions tο visit, not to mention a smorgasbord οf food choices tο fill the hungry traveller’s stomach. In fact, smorgasbord is a delicacy that is originally from Sweden? Gotland, Sweden’s largest island and Kebnekaise, thе country’s highest mountain, are a must visits for any tourist new to Sweden.
After Stockholm, the city of Malmo is a must visit for tourists. Apart from its proximity to Copenhagen in Denmark, Lilla Torg, a square surrounded by buildings erected between 1600–1800, is the throbbing heart of the nightlife of the city.
If you like outdoor sports then Sweden is your paradise. Lake Virihaure in Padjelanta National Park is one of the country’s most beautiful lakes, surrounded by multiple hiking trails. Cottages around the lake are available for rent. In fact, along some of the more remote hiking trails, there are cottages available to travellers completely rent free!
July to September is the best time to visit Sweden when it is not crowded with tourists, and nor is the weather harsh beyond belief. You can also get London cheap flights to Sweden during this time. Rather than staying in a major hotel, consider bed and breakfasts or dormitories for lodging. Not only will you get a more authentic Swedish experience, you will also be spending a fraction of the price on lodging. In fact, one of the biggest mistakes that amateur travellers make is to spend too much on accommodation, which then leaves them with no money to spend on souvenirs or other fun activities during a vacation.
So what are you waiting for? Pack your bags & head to Sweden for the vacation of a lifetime.
