Planning your holiday properly involves a lot more effort if you are operating on a tight budget. You do not have to plan a lot if you intend to make use of airport taxi Stansted services after you return from your holiday. However, if you do not have enough money to get a taxi, you will have to plan the issue and interact with friends and relatives to make sure there is a person who is prepared to give you a lift back home after you return from your holiday.

Of course, this is just one small example of how a budget holiday requires proper planning. It is also important to use your imagination and creativity when you are operating on a tight budget. You will have to start planning well in advance. Making friends on social networking websites at the last moment and requesting them to let you stay in their house for a day or two is not going to work. On the other hand, making friends early and spending a few months interacting with your online friends before requesting assistance will be a simpler affair.

Watching television shows that highlight budget eateries in the country or city that you intend to visit on your vacation will be a simple affair. Once you have this information and, you can cut down on the cost of eating food during your holidays. This can be a particularly good option if you are traveling alone or are traveling with friends who are not very fussy about the food available.

You can also strengthen your digestive system by exposing yourself to outside food to ensure you do not end up falling ill just because you have tasted food from an outlet that follows ordinary standards as far as hygiene and cleanliness are concerned. Of course, this does not mean you should go to the other extreme and eat at places where no cleanliness and hygiene rules are followed.

There are many different ways of saving money for holidays and tips for budgeting. Holidays can be expensive but many people don’t mind, as it is a chance to get away and escape from everyday life and spend some money on activities you wouldn’t normally get a chance to do. First and foremost you have to plan where you are going, and some places can be more expensive than others so do some research on where you want to go and plan a schedule that suits you. I am going to offer some tips on how to achieve this.

A good way to budget for a holiday is to give up a little luxury that you normally have, for example if you go out two times a week cut back to once, or cut back on other things such as meals out. A radical way of saving money could be anything from getting an extra part time job, or even buying reduced food from your local supermarket (be sure to get there late at night for the best deals as this could save you a lot money). I always put my loose change into a big jar and every year when I want to go on holiday I check how much I have.

When you are ready to book your holiday, have a look on the internet or go to your local travel agent, as they have great hr software that will help find the easiest and cheapest route for you. If you want a really cheap way of getting somewhere then look for low season opportunities or special offers, as these can be the cheaper option. Obviously some destinations are more expensive than others, for example travelling to Australia from the United Kingdom is more expensive than travelling to Spain but it all depends on what time of year you go, March or April could be a lot cheaper time to go than June or July. Planning ahead is crucial, once you have decided where you are going, try looking for cheaper restaurants and local supermarkets, or local markets selling fresh fruit and vegetables as these can help you save money during the trip.

There are a number of budget airlines operating in Europe that allow people the opportunity to travel abroad cheaply and conveniently. Some of the most popular airlines include Ryanair and easyJet, which fly millions of passengers each year. Despite not offering the luxury and class of the more prestigious airlines like British Airways or Air France, budget airlines allow low income earners the chance to travel abroad and experience life outside of the UK.

Despite the significant increase in government taxes, Ryanair still offers single flights for as little as £9. However, like all other airlines, fares for Ryanair routes during peak times can rise substantially. For example, the cost of a return ticket from London to Malaga leaving on the second Saturday in August and return the following Saturday could be as much as four times more expensive than the cost of the same ticket in October. This is because the calculation of air fares is based on demand. For all airlines, there is a major incentive for airlines to charge higher fares on dates that are guaranteed to become fully booked because people can only travel abroad on these specific dates.

However, the good news is that the outrageous profit these airlines make during the summer holidays means they can also afford to offer cheaper services during off-peak times, despite the cost of air fuel services in Europe. Travellers on a budget should therefore consider purchasing a ticket on a weekday or for an afternoon or evening flight, which is generally a lot cheaper than a flight that leaves in the morning. It is also a good idea to fly to destinations that are less tourist-orientated or travelling from a cheaper airport to a final destination by car or public transport. For example, a family travelling to Barcelona may find it cheaper to fly to Zaragoza then drive to Barcelona than to fly to the city directly. This is an excellent method to beat the high costs of summer holidays.

I am absolutely sure that Nepal is one of the cheapest holiday destinations if not “the cheapest holiday destination in the world”. This I say out of experience. This is a country which is a paradise for a person who is looking for a long holiday on a budget. You can actually work for 6 months in Europe and live the remaining 6 with your savings in Nepal, with no need to work. The only sad part however is that there are no budget airlines to Nepal.

I still remember the time when I was sitting in the airport taxi stansted, nervous about missing a connection flight; as if it was not enough that I was travelling the first time to Asia, and that too alone. Well, a group of friends were already there who were waiting for me, but I was a bit scared still. Thoughts of getting sold as a slave would cross my mind, but I was too ahead to cancel and something in me wanted to adventure in the most economical way, and I knew Nepal was the only location I could do that.

Upon reaching Nepal, I was truly surprised at the humble airport and was a bit agitated by the taxi guys right outside the airport. Thankfully I found my friends who took me to the hotel room they had booked for me. I wanted to ask them the price per night, but since I did not wanted to let them know how little money I had, I kept quiet. Finally the next morning when we were up for breakfast I gathered the courage to ask them and they told me it was 7 pounds a night. When I heard that I could not believe it, upon further inquiring I found out that it was true and I knew I could surely have a long vacation.

Spending four weeks backpacking in the Middle East can be challenging, but it will be well worth it if you want to learn more about the cultures of the Middle East.

Of course you will have to fly over and the best place to land and start off is Istanbul. It will take you a few days to check out all the beautiful building and haggle your way through the bazaar, but once you are ready to leave Istanbul, you can take an overnight bus into Cappadocia or rent one of the available 4×4 cars.

Cappadocia is very interesting if you are into natural rock formations Stay there a few days and then visit Antakya before crossing the border into Syria.

In Syria, you will want to visit these cities in this order: Do some shopping in the souks (markets) in Aleppo. Then spend a few days in Damascus, checking out the wonderful architecture, especially the Umayyad Mosque, which is the oldest mosque. Skip over, by taxi or bus, to Palmyra and check out the ruins before going back to Damascus and heading into Jordan.

Once in Jordan stay in Amman for a few days checking out both the old and new sites.

.

From here you will cross the border into Israel. Expect this to take a lot of time and be prepared for any questions that are put your way about where you are traveling. After getting across the border, take a taxi into Eilat.

Next is Ein Gedi which is actually a small oasis along the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea is the lowest point of the Earth, so that is definitely an experience.

Your last stop during your backpacking trip to the Middle East should be Tel-Aviv. Tel Aviv is known as the heart of Israel and has many attractions, including the beautiful coastline. So have some fun and relax before heading home.

Italy in early summer is a dream. Hot, sultry, fruit and veg bursting at their seams, and cheap accommodation easy to come by since the school kids are not yet out and families are not yet swarming all over holiday lands.

The temperature is going to be around five degrees more than in Britain, so a warm, sunny holiday is just about guaranteed, and even if thunderstorms should destroy the sun-bathing time, they will usually blow over within a day.

Although the euro is currently strong against the pound, Italy still offers good value for money, and in areas off the tourist trails the rural or seaside towns provide really good, cheap food and accommodation. The trick while in the country is to eat local food and drink local wine (or beer, if you have to!) These regional specialities are seriously cheap and are also excellent quality, since the locals take pride in their produce and always offer visitors the very best of the local produce.

Before the schools break up it is possible to rent self-catering accommodation for a really good price, and even bed and breakfasts or small, family-run hotels are affordable. With screaming children out of the way, coastal areas such as Calabria are a snip, and beautiful inland regions such as Tuscany and Umbria can be visited for much less than in the height of summer.

Getting there doesn’t have to break the bank, either. Low cost flights to most airports in Italy are now available from nearly every major airport in Britain, from Aberdeen down to Gatwick. Budget airlines such as Easy Jet and Ryan Air fly regularly to the popular resort towns, and, since so many Brits now go to holiday homes around Europe, they also offer flights to more out-of-the-way airports.

Italy on a budget is easy, cheap, and oh so cultural!

When it comes to a budget vacation, nothing beats Thailand! Whether its sun and sand, shopping or monasteries you’re looking for this summer, you will find it all in amazing Thailand!
Being a budget traveler, I’m always on the lookout for good deals that offer value for money. When I discovered Thailand, I was floored! There are plenty of budget hotels in major cities like Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket that offer better hospitality services than some of the best 5 stars in the world! Its better to go during the months of September-October or around April when the weather’s just right and the actual tourist season hasn’t kicked in. This way you can plan a longer vacation with your friends or family.
Ideally the places to visit are Bangkok, Phuket, Krabi and Ko Samui. The latter two are the most beautiful islands you’ll ever see with green waters, clean sandy beaches and amazing sights around. Bangkok is the ideal place to shop. From designer suit fabrics, to trendy footwear and funky accessories and bags, its a shopper’s paradise! Its a country with a high percentage of women so shopping is a given! The nightlife of Bangkok and Pattaya is not to be missed!
If you want to visit Buddhist monasteries and temples, head to Ayuthaya, an hour’s drive from Bangkok. This is known as the temple city and the beauty of the Thai culture will truly amaze you. So what are you still waiting for? Catch the first flight out to Thailand and party like never before!

Pension Mesa in Guatemala City is a piece of living history and if you have the chance, put your things in self storage and head here. It is reputed that Che actually stayed here during the brief rule of the leftist president Jacobo Arbenz, who was later over thrown in a CIA sponsored coup. The first time I went it was with a friend who all she remembered was that it was at the corner of tenth avenue and tenth street. If you know the city, you will know that it is a complicated web of streets and avenues, but remember that it is in zone one, get close and then ask directions. This place absolutely screams of banana republics, revolutionaries and travellers that have been gone for a little bit too long. The rooms surround a court yard and at night the guests get drunk and swap stories, try to be cool and you will hear the greatest tales here! There is a small cafe that does breakfast and a brief paramour actually proposed marriage to me, one morning when I came into the room with the Guatemalan breakfast delicacy of fried plantains with fresh cream and cheese, and a steaming cup of the local coffee. I met some friends here that I will keep and it is a great place to hook up with people if you want to head into the interior for further adventures. I went to Mexico by bus and the voyage through the mountains was so beautiful I thought I saw god.
